Job description

Redwood Credit Union is looking for an Investment Coordinator will be a productive contributor to the Wealth Management department.  Under limited supervision, provide administrative support to Advisors in the Wealth Management department, while delivering superior service to Members and internal team members in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.  
 
Key Responsibilities
Member Service:
o Provide exceptional service to all internal and external Members and partners.
o Call Members referred to the Wealth Management department by branch, Member Service Center, or other referrals.
o Make and receive calls from Members to assist with questions, investment transactions and problem resolution.
o Ensure maximum flexibility to relieve and/or assist in a variety of functions as needed.
o Responsible for relationship building, including working with existing Investment Members and potential Investment Members.
o Assist Advisors and department team members with service-related matters.
o Identify issues requiring escalation to Financial Advisor or department management.
Administrative:
o Maintain a high degree of accuracy and accountability in support of all Financial Advisors, investment Member clients, and Member prospects.
o Submit required trade documentation to broker dealer to meet regulation-mandated deadlines.
o Ensure all required account documents are acquired, updated, and scanned to Members’ Investment account.
o Appropriately plan and organize daily work and projects, anticipating workload and foreseeing obstacles.
o Maintain confidentiality of correspondence, documents, discussions, meetings, and telephone calls.
o Proficiently utilize the broker dealer provided platform, if applicable, to process Member investment requests and update account information.
o Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely processing of investment requests.
o Sort, distribute, and process interoffice mail and incoming mail.
o Organize and maintain electronic storage system for department files to ensure proper storage.
o Perform duties specific to reporting/marketing/operations as assigned.
o Remain compliant to with FINRA, SEC and other Self Regulator Organization or Federal regulations when working with clients, 3rd party Vendors, and other team members.
o Coordinate and assemble Member mailings as directed.
o Assist in coordinating seminars, Member appreciation and other community events for the Wealth Management Department.
Other Functions:
o Lend clerical and administrative support to other managers – SVP Wealth, Insurance and Deposit Services, VP Wealth Management, Deposit Products Manager, or other members of the Leadership Team as assigned.
o Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of all account types and ownership types used in financial institutions.
  • Working knowledge of modern office administration techniques, methods, and equipmentoperation.
  • Working knowledge of terminology related to investment products and various accounttypes.
  • Ability to learn and work within FINRA guidelines.
  • Ability to successfully pass background check with broker-dealer.
  • Skill in the operation of a PC with the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases software programs, with internet and intranet access.

  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree, with a minimum of one year of related administrative or operational experience. Credit Union/bank experience preferred.
 
Compensation: Base starting range: $24.00 to $31.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
