Trading & Investment Operations Associate

Location: Wichita, KS (in-office or hybrid)

Overview

We are a growing wealth management firm based in Wichita, KS, serving emerging affluent, high net-worth and ultra-high net-worth individuals, families, and business clients. We are seeking a Trading & Investment Operations Associate to support portfolio implementation, client money movement, and core operational workflows.

This role sits at the center of the firm’s day-to-day execution—ensuring trades are placed accurately, client transactions are processed seamlessly, and accounts are maintained with precision. The right candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and takes ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

·         Trading & Portfolio Implementation

o   Execute trades across client portfolios in alignment with model allocations and advisor direction

o   Assist with portfolio rebalancing and cash management

o   Monitor trade execution, settlement, and resolve discrepancies

o   Coordinate with custodians (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing)

·         Client Money Movement

o   Process wires, ACH transfers, journals, and account transfers (ACATs)

o   Ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with all procedures

o   Track and confirm completion of all transactions

o   Communicate status updates to internal team members

·         Operations & Account Maintenance

o   Maintain accurate client and account records in CRM and portfolio systems

o   Troubleshoot account issues and serve as a point of contact with custodians

o   Support audit and compliance-related requests

·         Process Improvement

o   Identify inefficiencies and help improve workflows and documentation

o   Contribute to building scalable operational processes as the firm grows

Qualifications

·         Required

o   Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience

o   Expertise with Microsoft Office suite of tools with an emphasis on Excel

o   FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses

o   3-5 years in the wealth management or investment management industry

·         Preferred

o   Experience with Envestnet trading (Worksheet, Folio or Tamarac)
