Job description

Associate Optometrist Opportunity at Broadway Eye Center

Focused on your family's eyes since 1950, this successful, family-owned practice serves the communities of Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, and Mesquite, northeast of Dallas, TX. Combining the latest technology with top-quality vision solutions and exceptional customer service—patients can expect the best at Broadway Eye Center. As a well-respected business, the practice continues to thrive, and a long-term opportunity is on the horizon for the right Associate Optometrist. If you're a well-rounded professional looking to bring new perspectives to a well-established private practice, excited to embark on new opportunities, with a future partnership opportunity, this is your chance!

Broadway Eye Center, established in 1950, has been a cornerstone in Dallas County, providing comprehensive optometry services for over 65 years under the leadership of Dr. Robert (Bob) Day, Jr., the founder's son. The practice specializes in cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and contact lenses, and has recently undergone renovations. Committed to quality vision solutions and exceptional customer service, the center is equipped with modern technology, including server-based software for managing electronic health records, which allows each doctor to care for 9 to 12 patients daily. Patients also enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience in the optical boutique, featuring a wide selection of frames and sunglasses, supported by personalized assistance from the optician. The optometrists and staff have consistently focused on utilizing the latest technology to deliver personalized eye exams, services, and materials to residents in Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, and Mesquite.

What you'll do: Broadway Eye Center is looking for a dedicated Associate Optometrist who genuinely prioritizes patient experience and is committed to providing exceptional service. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive medical and routine care for patients of all ages, from children to older adults, while also managing the practice's online presence and developing a new specialty. Starting as a part-time position with sixteen hours over two days, there is the potential for this role to quickly transition into full-time and ownership.

Who you are: You possess exceptional skills and abilities that enable you to effectively handle a diverse range of patients with varying visual needs and age groups. The ideal candidate should bring a patient-centered approach and be excited to contribute a different specialty to the practice. A collaborative approach to work is necessary, as you will be working alongside a team of talented professionals, including opticians and technicians, to ensure seamless patient care and contribute to a positive work culture. To be considered for the role, you must have a strong commitment to continuous learning, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. Your contributions will be vital to the continued success and expansion of the business.

Why you'll love Garland: Located northeast of Dallas, Garland is part of the fourth largest region in the nation, the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, and is home to global manufacturing. Garland provides a unique opportunity for convenient and relaxed living with a vast, rich history, urban appeal, natural resources, and outdoor activities. Residents and visitors can enjoy shopping at the Firewheel Town Center with over 100 stores; step into the past at the Garland Landmark Museum, or the Santa Fe Railroad Depot, and the Resistol Hat Factory; or watch a production at the historic Plaza Theatre—plus its proximity to Dallas, Plano, Mesquite, and Rowlett allows residents easy access to explore Texas. Located less than 30 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and only 13 miles from Dallas Love Field Airport, Garland is an ideal place to practice and a prime location to live.

You'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Medical insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Continuing education allowance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed Optometrist in Texas
  • Open to new grads
