Flooring In-Home Sales Associate: Floor Coverings International of Leesburg, VA
The Company - Floor Coverings International is the national leader for in-home flooring sales. The Position - As a Floor Coverings International In-Home Sales/Design Associate, you can help people reimagine and transform their home with the latest flooring trends from the top manufacturers. You will go out on both company and self-generated leads to meet with homeowners and assess their flooring needs and wants. Once the goals of the project are understood, you will recommend and sell the flooring solution that best fits their needs and their budget. The Fit - People who succeed in this role are those with in-home sales expertise, who enjoy competition, and are driven to meet and exceed goals. In addition, they are good listeners and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Go out to clients' homes to provide in-home consultations and quotes for their flooring project
  • Use a consultative sales approach (No high pressure sales) - measure accurately, show flooring samples in the home, and help customers reach a solution to meet their goals and budget
  • Use our tablet estimating software and keep accurate records in Salesforce regarding follow-up communication
  • Hand off job details to install manager to help jobs go smoothly and conduct post-installation walkthroughs
  • Maintain customer relationships and develop key referral sources to generate ongoing business
  • Develop business partner relationships for ongoing business
  • Generate leads through networking and prospecting to supplement company-provided leads

Requirements
  • 2+ years of in-home sales experience
  • Ideal candidates have a track record selling $1 million annually
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs and walk up flights of stairs to customers' homes
  • Ability to work some weeknights and weekends
  • Computer skills and ability to learn our tablet estimating software

  • In-home sales in home remodeling industry - flooring experience is preferred

This is a full-time Design Associate role in a hybrid work environment. This position requires travel (a company van will be supplied) across our region to complete in-home appointments and provide proposals to customers on-site. The work van provided will carry samples of all flooring products we can order for our customers so they can view the products in their own homes during the appointment.
Pay: Potential earnings are $80,000 for the average Design Associate. Above-average Design Associates earn $115,000 to $150,000+.
Territory: Our local office is in Leesburg, VA and we primarily serve customers in Leesburg, Lansdowne, Western Loudoun, Berryville, Gainesville, Chantilly, and Centreville.
