Job Description
Financial Additions has a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role will oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee general ledger activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Review project accounting, WIP reports, progress billings, retainage, and contract-related transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Support fixed asset accounting, sales and use tax reconciliations, and audit requests.
  • Analyze financial results and provide reporting to management.
  • Assist with ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within large enterprise organizations ($500M+ revenue) with complex, multi-entity accounting structures.
  • Prior experience supporting high-volume accounting operations, shared service environments, or publicly traded companies.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP platforms such as Infor M3.
