Position Overview: As a senior project manager at Henderson Engineers, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and client experience.
  • Manage the development of project proposals, contracts, and project budgets.
  • Plan and coordinate project deliverables, delegating as needed.
  • Manage client service and project communication, maintaining proactive communication throughout the project life cycle.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
  • Responsible for overall project performance.
  • Manage and develop program contracts and project fee matrices.

  • Define and manage project quality expectations.
  • Ensure deliverables meet project objectives and quality expectations.
  • Develop the scope of work and fees for complex projects to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle.
  • Serve as the primary project/program contact and brand ambassador.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and sub-consultants to ensure satisfaction with the project process and engineering work product, and that client views are managed toward the best solution.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolves project-related conflict, balancing the interests of internal and external stakeholders and sharing lessons learned to improve overall client experience.
  • Partner with sector and practice leadership to create and support business development strategies within their sector or practice.
  • Direct the activities of project/program team members and oversee less experienced Project Managers as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred. 4 years of relevant experience within the AEC or Professional Services industry will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • 14 years of relevant experience required, including at least 10 years cumulative of project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management standards and execution required.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of building design and construction principles required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Revit, CAD, and/or Bluebeam.
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • P.E. (Professional Engineer) license preferred.

Salary ranges:
New York Salary Range: $125,904 to $188,856
Los Angeles Salary Range: $119,712 to $179,568
Denver Salary Range: $113,520 to $170,280
Las Vegas Salary Range: $108,360 to $162,540
