Our Accounting & Finance Department is dynamic and collaborative. Providing best-in-class service to our internal and external customers within the expected timeframes, we actively support our co-workers, clients, and community. Role Description:

As the Manager, IFRS Accounting, you will help lead Safety National’s IFRS implementation project and oversee ongoing IFRS reporting initiatives. In this highly visible leadership role, you will partner with external consultants and key stakeholders across Safety National, RSL, DFG, and Tokio Marine to ensure successful project execution, clear communication, and timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables. You will research and interpret international accounting standards, provide recommendations to leadership, and guide the implementation of new accounting policies and reporting requirements.

You will also collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, and forecasting teams to enhance financial reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and ensure financial systems support evolving IFRS requirements. In addition to leading a team through workload management, coaching, and development, you will help drive organizational readiness through training and cross-functional collaboration while keeping leadership informed of project status.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in the insurance industry or equivalent accounting experience; management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience leading complex accounting or financial reporting projects
  • Experience researching and interpreting accounting guidance, and documenting conclusions
  • Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across departments and with external business partners
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing new accounting standards or large-scale financial reporting initiatives
  • Experience coordinating financial system changes that support reporting requirements
  • Experience developing accounting processes and internal controls related to financial reporting

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
