Brands supported by the CRVA include the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center, Bojangles Entertainment Complex, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Film Commission, Visit Charlotte and Visitor Info Centers.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Facility Maintenance Manager this position will prepare and maintain the Bojangles Coliseum ice rink. The position is responsible for performing maintenance duties as required, maintaining the ice surface in a manner that provides NHL quality ice.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Essential Job Duties
  • Operate and maintain ice resurfacers for games, practices and other events
  • Operate and maintain Zamboni, ice edger and other ice-related equipment
  • Install and remove ice surface, including painting lines, circles, logos, lay-in logos, flooding, and floor layout
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all maintenance activities utilizing daily, weekly and monthly logs and checklists
  • Install and remove game scoring equipment and lights
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry practices and meets all safety regulations
  • Ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines simultaneously
  • Will perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Requires prolonged standing and bending
  • This position requires extended work on slippery surfaces in cold conditions, handling and working with sharp blades.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment will vary from moderate to high.
