Job description

Principal Objective of Position:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources Function including but not limited to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, manage recruitment and employee relations, ensure legal compliance, and foster a positive work environment. This person will play a critical role in shaping company culture, managing benefits and compensation, and supporting employee development to drive organizational success and employee satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
Manage the recruitment and selection process
Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain pay plan and benefits program
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Report to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Other Responsibilities:
Assisting in due diligence and the cultural integration of new teams.
Participating in annual planning sessions to forecast growth and labor needs for the next 3-5 years.
Partnering with Marketing to ensure the company's voice and vision is consistent.
Leading the "People" side of business continuity plans, coordinating safety protocols during public health crisis or natural disaster.
Drafting company-wide announcements regarding sensitive topics, organizational shifts, or global events.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

BS/MS degree in a Human Resources related field

SHRM-CP/SCP or SPHR/PHR Certification

Proven experience as an HR leader, preferably in a director-level role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Experience with Paycom HRIS (Strongly Preferred)
  • Able to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Capable of leading and developing a high-performing HR team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality and acts ethically in all HR matters
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives

  • Able to take a proactive approach to identifying and developing creative, sustainable solutions
  • Ability to pivot strategies in a fast-paced or changing environment.

Work Environment:

The HR Director operates in a professional office environment. This role requires a high level of availability and may involve occasional travel to various regional sites to support local management and maintain organizational culture.
