Job description

Our client, a property management company based in Milwaukee is seeking a Hotel Manager for a unique boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. This hotel boasts 17 custom rooms and bills itself as an “Invisible Service” hotel. Guests utilize technology to book, check-in, and checkout – there is no front desk. This Hotel Manager is responsible for the entirety of services provided and will seek to upgrade guest experience and develop new and innovative services and processes for the hotel. Owners see opportunity for heightened marketing, new 3rd party services/vendors, and new and updated amenities. This individual will utilize the already established processes and services to build and grow occupancy. The role pays a salary in the $65K- $75K range comes with a strong benefit plan and will have the ability to add multiple staff members (build your own team) to grow this already great hotel experience. This role will be a HYBRID position and offer the flexibility to work from your home office.


The key to this role is past proven experience in the hotel industry, and entrepreneurial mindset and a strong focus on marketing in this space. The incumbent will:

  • Oversees the daily operations of a design-driven property.
  • Focus heavily on delivering highly personalized guest experiences, staff development, financial management, and maintaining the unique, intimate atmosphere that sets the establishment apart from chain hotels.
  • Take on the following Core Responsibilities
  • Guest Relations & Experience: Act as the face of the property, curating highly tailored experiences, addressing guest feedback, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage 3rd party services—housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage—to ensure seamless, top-tier service.
  • Financial Management: Handle budgeting, forecasting, and expense control to drive profitability while maintaining luxury standards.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor employees, fostering a culture of hospitality and brand loyalty.
  • Marketing & Sales: promote the brand, maximize occupancy rates, and elevate the hotel’s local and digital presence.
  • Compliance & Facilities: Ensure the building complies with all health, safety, and labor regulations while maintaining capital improvement projects.
  • Creativity: add amenities and special services and “one off” unique experiences for guests based on timing and need.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in the hotel industry
  • 3+ years of progressive management experience in luxury, high-end, or boutique hospitality arena.
  • 3+ years using property management systems (PMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, financial reporting tools.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, problem-solving, local cultural knowledge, and cross-departmental communication.
