Endodontics Associates- Trussville is seeking a skilled, compassionate Part-time Dental Assistant to join our team and help us deliver exceptional patient care as needed. Our practice is built on a core belief: putting the patient's needs first and this principle guides everything we do.


The ideal candidate will have a natural drive to provide outstanding care, a strong attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor during a variety of endodontic procedures to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict protocols.
  • Take X-rays and digital scans as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately in chart notes and software systems.
  • Ensure patients feel welcome, comfortable, and informed throughout their treatment.
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow.
  • Check patients in and out, verify insurance, and collect payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with updating medical history forms.
  • Support daily office operations to ensure smooth and efficient patient car

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
  • Customer service experience (1+ years) is a plus - we value a friendly, patient-focused approach.
  • Certification or an associate degree from an accredited dental assisting program is a bonus but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with computer-based tasks and dental software.
  • Professional, reliable, and positive attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
