About the Role

The General Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all operational functions across the organization. This role drives efficiency, scalability, and profitability by aligning operations with strategic business goals. They will oversee production, supply chain, inventory, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. P&L-style accountability for the facility. Data fluency is key, this person runs the facility through the numbers, and owns them, not just reads them. They can defend the operational drivers behind the margin - labor efficiency, yield, scrap/waste, cost per unit - and when a number looks wrong, they catch it and know which lever moved it and why. If the operation needs an ERP stood up, they can lead that implementation themselves. Understanding how ops decisions ripple into sales is a major plus - never give sales something to apologize for - inventory accuracy, ops-caused RMAs, shipping times, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Owns throughput, cost, data, quality, and the team's performance.
  • A working machine - production, warehouse, supply chain, QA, with an ops manager and supply chain director already in seat.
  • Full warehouse and production floor-vape mixing, grinder operations, preroll operations, fulfillment, pick and pack.
  • Scale production capabilities across pre-rolls, vapes, and infused products.
  • QA/QC oversight and enforcement.
  • Inventory management across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • SOP development and implementation.
  • Ensure full compliance with California hemp/cannabis regulations (e.g., METRC, DCC requirements).
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-years in a hemp and/or cannabis manufacturing organization.
  • Minimum 8-years of operations experience, 4 of which in a leadership role.
  • Strong inventory management background. Truly understands how raw materials flow through to finished goods.
  • Experience managing multi-function operations and teams.
  • Comfortable being a hands-on leader on the floor while also thinking systematically and strategically.
  • Knowledge of state cannabis/hemp manufacturing regulations.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
Required Skills

A seasoned professional with a strong focus on process improvement and the ability to drive efficiency, ensure regulatory adherence, and support rapid growth across emerging markets.

Preferred Skills

A strong combination of production/manufacturing, QA/QC and inventory/warehouse management experience. Experience with automated pre-roll or infusion equipment. Background in extraction, formulation, or cannabis product development.
