Job description

The Graphic Design Coordinator position will report to the Creative Director and assist in designing high-quality creative that adheres to the Detroit Lions brand and standards. This includes assets for social media, digital, game presentation, traditional and digital marketing and other design needs for the Detroit Lions, Ford Field, and Ford Field Events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 
The Graphic Design Coordinator position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following: 

  • Design and execute various branded digital and print projects not limited to digital/social graphics, LED signage, email marketing, print and traditional out of home marketing 
  • Ability to create a scope of work and manage project plans with timelines and understanding of prioritizing resources and tasks 
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing 
  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts 
  • Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines 
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills 
  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands 
  • Will keep appropriate information confidential

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in graphic design experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment 
  • Must provide a link or an attachment to portfolio to be considered 
  • Portfolio should demonstrate an elevated sense of design, color, and typography and an adherence or understanding of brand guidelines 
  • Must have previous experience as a Graphic Design intern or in a Graphic Design position 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and attention to detail 
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects 
  • Self-starter; ability to multi-task in a highly energetic and fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with photography is not required, but highly regarded 
  • Possess a working knowledge of and passion for football is highly regarded 
  • Experience working in the sports industry is highly regarded 
  • A valid Driver's License and a good driving record 
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to professionally communicate with all levels of staff, management, coaches, players, and vendors 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as club schedule directs
