Job description

Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Mine Dispatcher at our Phoenix operation. The successful candidate will manage fleet utilization, KPI compliance, central communication, and assigning fleet as necessary for production.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize schedule and dispatch workers/work crews, as well as equipment and service vehicles according to request, specifications or needs.
  • Serve as the central communication contact for mine production and safety.
  • Capture, validate, and record mine site data, shift, and production reports.
  • Monitor traffic and heavy equipment through video cameras and fleet update screen to ensure efficient use.
  • Monitor and report DSSI fatigue management events to supervisors.
  • Monitor KPI's on dashboard and follow mining plan for targets.
  • Receive, prepare, and relay work orders, messages and information to and from work crews, supervisors and field inspectors.
  • Facilitate decision-making for mine management and engineering crew.
  • Provide accurate information to ensure informed production decisions.
  • Provide notes and timelines for all MAYDAYS and coordinate as needed through AVETC system.
  • Monitor fleet tires for overheating or pressure loss.
  • At the supervisor's discretion, dispatchers may be used in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of mining experience required
  • Understanding of mine dispatch systems and operating software application systems
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures in mining.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
