Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team!  This is an entry-level position (1-3 years in sales development) for someone who is excited to learn and grow with us!

Upstate Coin and Gold is a leading player in the precious metals industry, dedicated to sourcing, refining,
and distributing high-quality precious metals globally. With a commitment to excellence and
sustainability, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our clients while adhering to the highest ethical
standards in our operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through the identification,
qualification, and onboarding of new clients. This role requires a proactive approach to building
prospect lists, engaging with potential clients through cold calling, and ensuring a seamless transition
from lead generation to account hand-off. The Business Development Representative will also be responsible
for executing trades and providing support to the trading team, ensuring that all processes are
compliant and that clients receive the highest level of service.

 

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Prospecting:
o Build and maintain a robust list of leads
o Conduct cold calls to engage and qualify prospects.
o Follow up with warm leads on the same day to maximize conversion opportunities.

Lead Management and Compliance:
o Track and manage leads through the compliance process
o Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance to facilitate a smooth onboarding
process.


CRM Hygiene:
o CRM must include accurate Legal Company Name, Email, Phone Number, Website,
Relationship tab (all relationships), CCE, eba ID, CDN, Uploaded qualification, and any
other fields/tabs that we are able to fill out
o Qualification document uploaded
 

Account Management and Handoff:
o Ensure a seamless transition of qualified accounts to account managers.
o Maintain professional communication with prospects throughout the process.
 

Sales Enablement:
o Conduct best-in-class Sales Kick-Off (SKO) meetings to align goals and strategies.

o Complete Platform Gold demos to showcase product capabilities

Trading and Support:
o Execute trading activities for a minimum of two hours per day, with increased focus
when the trading team is short-staffed.
o Serve as a backup for traders when they are out of the office.
o Support a minimum of 10 cases per day, addressing client inquiries and issues.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Successfully transition a minimum of 35/Month to account managers each week.
Execute a minimum of two hours of trading daily (more when the trading team is short).
Support and resolve a minimum of 10 cases per day.
