POSITION SUMMARY

The Content Creation Manager works closely with the Communication director to help promote fundraising activities for Adventist Mission programs. Identify new opportunities to share the message of Adventist Mission with specific audiences around the world.  

COMPENSATION

  • Full-time exempt position with benefits
  • Remuneration Range: 87-100% ($83k - $95k annually)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Identify, research, and produce compelling mission stories that demonstrate measurable impact, inspire giving, and align with Global Mission’s fundraising goals.
  • Develop events, displays or trips to “show” the needs, opportunities and successes of work in the three Mission refocus windows. (Look at aligning with major meetings such as GAiN. Or as fundraising events)
  • Develop ongoing “story arcs” that follow mission projects or GMC impact over time, showing long-term impact to supporters.
  • Create quizzes, polls, and interactive maps that let people explore mission work in fun and engaging ways. Develop innovative content formats to appeal to younger audiences (e.g., reels, interactive stories, behind-the-scenes clips).
  • Develop storytelling content surrounding the MR windows that ties into key mission seasons (e.g., Global Youth Day, World Mission Offering, special church emphasis weeks).
  • Travel internationally as requested for training programs, liaison with divisions, Global Mission Center projects, speaking appointments, and consultations with Global Mission Center directors.
  • Provide regular reports to Adventist Mission director and supervisor.
  • Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 
  • Must maintain a regular and reliable attendance schedule 
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in marketing or philanthropy related field required. Relevant successful experience may be acceptable in lieu of academic requirement. 
  • Five years of successful experience required. Denominational experience at conferences, unions, divisions, and/or denominational institutions preferred.
  • Experience writing for culturally diverse and global audiences is highly valued.  

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of principles, policies and beliefs of the General Conference and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Knowledge of principles, policies and beliefs of the General Conference and the Church.  Knowledge of church structure and organization, including committee procedures, etc. 
  • Knowledge and skill in appropriate methods of dealing with human behavior in various circumstances.
  • Advanced command of English language. Exceptional writing and editing skills required, including strong command of grammar, clarity, structure, and style.
  • Ability to write engaging stories and adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must be able to meet daily deadlines and prioritize projects. Must possess strong project management and good organizational skills, work well with people and be adaptable.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal/external personnel.
  • Must possess advanced ability to effectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written form.
  • Knowledge and skill in appropriate methods of dealing with human behavior in various circumstances.
