Job description

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Logistics and Property Accountability Manager to support U.S. Army Threat Systems Management Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Perform strategic provisioning by analyzing historical consumption data and mission forecasts to accurately calculate stock levels, determine future material requirements, and prevent supply chain bottlenecks.

  • Maintain detailed control and status records for all GFP and GFE in accordance with government regulations. Enforce strict adherence to the policies, procedures, and statutory methods governing Government property management to ensure compliance during federal audits.

  • Provide support to financial liability investigations for property loss, help manage property books, and review transaction records to ensure data integrity.

  • Utilize and be proficient in government property accountability systems such as ASTS and DPAS to manage, track, and report on all assets.

  • Evaluate and implement material substitution criteria to mitigate supply shortages utilizing automated records and control systems to identify acceptable alternative components without compromising operational readiness.

  • Review and regulate storage, issue, and disposal processes, optimizing warehouse footprints and ensuring hazardous or sensitive materials are handled according to regulatory mandates.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create reports, manage data, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Leverage personal expertise in logistics and property management to oversee the receipt, storage, and disposition of government assets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years direct experience supporting property management, supply chain, and logistics activities within DoW environments.

  • Working knowledge of systems such as DPAS, AESIP, GCSS-Army, GFEBS, PBUSE, LOGSA, WAWF, and SAP-based environments.

  • Strong background in conducting physical inventories, managing hand receipts, and investigating property loss.

  • Experience with, and/or safety qualification in operating standard warehouse material handling equipment including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods during inventory, and operating standard warehouse material handling equipment.

  • Must have and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS/SCI) security clearance.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military veteran with direct experience in US Army or other DoW environments.

  • Experience successfully migrating property data between different systems of record (e.g., from GCSS-Army to DPAS) or implementing new accountability software.

  • Training or active certification in the Army Learning Management System (ALMS) modules related to financial compliance and cost analysis, including Cost Analysis Requirements Document development
