Job description

The Associate Project Manager – Capital Project Delivery supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and launch initiatives, including new fulfillment centers, office spaces, renovations, pharmacies, and other capital projects. Working under the guidance of Project Managers and senior leaders, this role helps deliver projects from planning through construction, commissioning, launch, and operational handoff.
The Associate Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards. The role develops project management capabilities while gaining hands-on experience in construction, launch execution, and operational readiness.
In addition to project execution support, the Associate Project Manager contributes to process standardization, documentation, continuous improvement, and lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
Travel is required and may range up to 60–80% based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning:
  • Support development and maintenance of project timelines and milestones for cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
  • Support bid package preparation, vendor coordination, contract administration, and change tracking.
  • Track project risks, issues, action items, and mitigation plans.
  • Assist with commissioning plans, readiness checklists, and operational handoff documentation.
  • Project Execution:
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate risks, delays, or issues to Project Managers.
  • Coordinate communication between operations, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track contractor deliverables, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Support commissioning, vendor turnover, and launch activities.
  • Launch Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
  • Support operational readiness and quality verification activities before launch.
  • Maintain launch documentation, standard work, and project records.
  • Participate in post-launch reviews and lessons learned sessions.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support implementation of best practices.
  • Assist with gap analysis between current operations and future-state processes.
Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • CAPM certification preferred; PMP eligibility or pursuit is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 1–3 years of project coordination, project management, construction, operations, engineering, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or other fast-paced environments preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, construction, or material handling systems preferred.
