About Our Company: Rocla Concrete Ties Inc. is part of the Vossloh group, known for manufacturing rail concrete ties and slab tracks. We are an essential supply partner to Class I, regional and industrial freight railroads, as well as transits throughout North America.
Introduction: The Quality Control (QC) Manager ensures that products meet all required quality standards, specifications, and meets customer expectations. This role leads the quality control team, manages quality systems and processes, and drives continuous improvement in product quality and compliance.
Responsibilities for Quality Control Manager:
  • Lead and develop the QC team through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Assign responsibilities, delegate authority, and structure the department to meet goals.
  • Promote accountability and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain quality control policies, procedures, and the QMS to meet industry and customer standards.
  • Coordinate quality and testing plans with operations and production teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and industry certifications.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Prepare quality reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, calibrations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Manage raw material needs and delivery coordination.
  • Verify technical drawings and quality documentation.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
  • Align quality initiatives with company objectives through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven management and leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, production planning, and safety management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and quality-related documentation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ISO quality management system experience.
  • Precast / Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Level I & II and ACI certifications.
  • PCI Level III certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills are a plus.

Work Availability
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance according to company guidelines.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
