Job Description:
Summary
The Cement Pump Packer performs regular maintenance on fluid ends, centrifugal pumps, cement pumps, bulk trailers, field bins, and tractors while ensuring all repairs are recorded in the appropriate work order through the Manager Plus system.
Responsibilities
  • Perform fluid end maintenance, such as inspect, and repair fluid ends for damaged or worn parts; inspect tie rods and tie bars for proper torque; inspect packing bore for wear and retainer nuts for cracked or broken threads; replace valves and seats; replace packing as required.
  • Performa centrifugal pump maintenance, such as repack or rebuild centrifugal pumps as needed and paint centrifugal pumps after rebuilding and assign asset numbers.
  • Perform cement pump maintenance, such as troubleshoot air leaks and valves that leak; replace actuators and valves as needed; rebuild actuators and valves as required; remove iron for testing and certification and reinstall after completed.
  • Perform bulk trailer and field bin maintenance, such as troubleshoot and replace actuators or valves that do not work properly; troubleshoot fluffers not working correctly and replace check valves as needed; determine if fluffer pads need to be replaced; troubleshoot and replace faulty check valves; troubleshoot and replace safety pop off valves; check and adjust cut-in valves; assist crew in removing cemented plumbing and chipping cement out of tub; perform oil and filter changes when requested by shop lead.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, oil changes, and filter changes to tractors as directed by the shop lead.
  • Ensure all maintenance work and repairs are documented in Manager Plus work orders.
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years as a pump technician preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in a cementing or frac pump maintenance or similar role preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
  • Maintain a valid current driver's license and a clean driving record preferred.
  • English speaker preferred.
  • Oil and Gas Industry experience preferred.
  • Must be Forklift Operator certified or willing to obtain required certification.
  • Experience managing inventory preferred.
