The Professional & General Liability Claims Manager is responsible for the management, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of professional liability, general liability, and other healthcare-related claims across a large, integrated health system. This position collaborates closely with Risk Management, Patient Safety, Legal Counsel, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), captive insurance programs, and operational leadership to minimize financial loss, improve patient safety outcomes, and ensure effective claims handling practices. The Claims Manager oversees the entire life cycle of claims and litigation, including incident review, coverage analysis, reserves, settlement authority recommendations, defense counsel management, reporting, and trend analysis. The position serves as a key resource for senior leadership regarding liability exposures, emerging risks, and insurance program performance.
Estimated compensation for this position is between $118,907-$154,579 depending on years of experience.
