Job description

Ameritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is seeking an Advanced Planning- Financial Planning Manager to lead the Financial Planning desk. This role reports to the Advanced Planning Director and oversees the Financial Planner and financial planning interns that support both senior planners and financial professionals in delivering case preparation and development of comprehensive financial plans for advanced planning cases involving business, retirement, estate, charitable and tax planning.
• This is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE working partially in-office and partially from home.
What you do:
  • Manage and develop the financial planning interns, including overseeing their training toward readiness for financial professional roles post-graduation
  • Oversee data gathering and entry into financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuide, RightCapital, etc)
  • Assist in building and reviewing financial plans involving cash flow, insurance, retirement, tax strategies, estate & charitable considerations towards long-term planning goals
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of plan outputs, charts and scenario analyses as plans are reviewed with financial professionals
  • Work with senior planners to increase adoption of financial planning in advisor practices
  • Provide case design consultation to field partners and home office associates across: insurance (life and disability income), annuities and retirement strategies, estate, charitable and business planning
  • Assist in advanced case presentation and provide technical expertise on product strategies
  • Track opportunities and maintain accurate case notes in SalesForce throughout the sales cycle
  • Monitor workflow efficiency and recommend process improvement to enhance service delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams and ensure planning strategies and recommendations alight with regulatory and company guidelines

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4-7 years of experience with financial planning, advanced planning, or insurance sales
  • Strong knowledge of retirement, estate, charitable, business, and financial planning strategies
  • CLU and/or ChFC preferred; CFP preferred or working towards completion
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 65 or 66 required
  • Proficiency in financial planning and illustration software
  • Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Travel: 10-15% as needed
