Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, this role sits at the center of business decisionmaking-partnering with leaders across the company to translate operational activity into clear financial insights, drive performance, and support longterm strategic objectives.ย

Job Description:
ย  ย Lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Planning Advisors, including performance management, capability development, and succession planning.
ย  ย Partner with business leaders to deliver valueadded financial analysis that drives improved operational and financial performance.
ย  ย Lead the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate financial allocations, documentation, and timelines.
ย  ย Oversee monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes across assigned portfolios.
ย  ย Translate operational drivers and business changes into accurate forecasts and meaningful performance insights.
ย  ย Provide leadership on capital and operating cost management, including budget optimization and progress tracking.
ย  ย Drive continuous improvement by streamlining, enhancing, and automating financial planning and reporting processes.
ย  ย Lead the endtoend development of the annual business plan, aligning financial targets with corporate strategy and priorities.
ย  ย Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial risk management.
ย  ย Contribute to strategic initiatives and finance transformation efforts, including system and process modernization.

Qualifications:
ย  ย Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of ten years of progressive finance experience.
ย  ย Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
ย  ย At least seven years of people leadership experience.
ย  ย Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and business partnering.
ย  ย Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
ย  ย Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.
ย  ย Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience working with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams.
ย  ย Experience in a rateregulated or utility environment is considered an asset.
