Position Location:Tampa, Florida
Position Description:
Altamira Technologies Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in building and maintaining computer vision data pipelines. The ideal candidate has strong ETL expertise, works comfortably with images, videos, and associated metadata, and understands how to design robust, scalable processing systems for highvolume media data flows. Must have a TS/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain endtoend data pipelines for computer vision workloads, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery of image, video, and metadata assets.
Implement and manage automated workflow orchestration using NiFi and Prefect.
Develop highperformance media processing services and tools using Java, FFmpeg, and OpenCV.
Containerize and deploy data services using Docker.
Collaborate with computer vision engineers, MLOps, and platform teams to ensure data readiness and pipeline reliability.
Optimize processing steps for speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
Establish monitoring, logging, and testing strategies to ensure pipeline stability and data quality.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience building and maintaining computer vision or mediacentric data pipelines.
Strong ETL background involving complex transformations, metadata generation, and media normalization.
Handson experience with:
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Java (core development)
Experience with KLV metadata extraction (e.g., 0903, 0601).
Familiarity with computer vision model deployment, training workflows, or deep learning frameworks.
Exposure to streaming media systems or realtime video processing.
Knowledge of cloud environments and orchestration platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
