About the Role – Federal Tax Manager
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, tax, or other closely related field
• CPA, EA, JD, or LLM in Taxation
• 5+ years of federal tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax department; experience with corporate entity structures in addition to a general level of knowledge in other areas of taxation, including partnerships, trusts, and individuals
Responsibilities
• Advise clients on a full spectrum of tax services: planning, research, compliance, provision
• Review workpapers and tax returns
• Plan and coordinate the flow of information with clients and effectively manage client needs
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects, teams, and clients across various industries
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
• Assist with new business development proposals
