Accounting Manager

Haseko Hawaii, Inc. | Ewa Beach, Hawaii

Haseko Hawaii, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Department. This position will play a key role in managing financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, audit support, general ledger accounting, compliance, and multi-entity accounting operations. The role supports a diversified organization involved in real estate development and related business operations.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Coordinate audit preparation and serve as a key contact during external audits.
  • Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and internal control compliance activities.
  • Review intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
  • Partner with HR and other departments on payroll, benefits, and financial reconciliations as needed.
  • Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting procedures and controls.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, auditing, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation or CPA candidate.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience in real estate development, construction, property management, or related industries.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
  • Familiarity with Timberline/Sage, ADP, or similar accounting systems.
