Job description

Position Summary Snowcreek Consulting is supporting a DoD Client that is seeking a Top Secret-level
cleared (SCI eligible) Project Scheduler. The Project Scheduler is responsible for
developing, managing, and optimizing integrated project schedules across complex,
multi-disciplinary programs. This role ensures that all project activities are logically
sequenced, resource-loaded where required, risk-assessed, and aligned with
organizational objectives. The Project Scheduler provides strategic schedule insights,
identifies critical paths, anticipates delays, and partners with project leadership to maintain
on-time, on-budget delivery. This is a contingent position pending contract award. While we are actively recruiting for
this role, salary, hiring, and start dates are dependent upon successful contract award and
funding authorization. This position has a 100% on site requirement in Arlington, VA with occasional/situational
travel. Clearance Required: Top Secret (SCI eligibility) Key Responsibilities • Schedule Development & Management o Create, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools (Deltek Open Plan, MS Project) o Establish baselines and manage schedule change control processes o Develop “what-if” scenarios to support decision-making and risk mitigation o Work closely with project managers and other project schedulers to gather accurate schedule inputs o Ensure compliance with organizational PMO requirements and guidelines • Analysis & Reporting o Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and variance analysis o Provide regular schedule performance reports, including SPI, CPI, float trends, and milestone status o Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions; communicate schedule impacts to project managers and stakeholders o Maintain documentation for schedule assumptions, methodologies, and updates Required Qualifications • Education & Experience o Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or related field. Specific experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree. o Minimum 5 years of experience in project scheduling for complex projects o Proven experience with integrated master schedules and multi-project environments • Technical Skills o Advanced proficiency using Deltek Open Plan or Microsoft Project o Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, or similar) • Core Competencies o Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills o Strong communication and presentation abilities o High attention to detail and accuracy o Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities o Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a DoD classified program environment • PMP, PMI-SP, DAU certification, or Association of Certified Cost Engineer certification (PSP, EVP) • Familiarity with cost-schedule integration and project controls systems • Proficiency using Tableau, Encore Analytics Empower, and Milestone Pro
