Work Location & Travel Expectations
This role supports projects across the United States and requires a high level of travel based on business and project needs. Candidates may be based anywhere within the U.S.; however, the selected individual should be prepared for assignments at various project locations nationwide. Travel for this position may reach up to approximately 90%.
Project assignments generally last 10 to 17 months, depending on project duration and operational requirements. While assigned to a project away from home, eligible employees are provided per diem to assist with temporary living and travel-related expenses, in addition to a competitive hourly rate.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Receiving Specialist will support a major data center communications infrastructure project in Haskell, Texas. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, documenting, and staging a wide range of communications materials and equipment while maintaining strict inventory control to support safe, efficient project execution.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming shipments of communications infrastructure materials and equipment
  • Review packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documentation to ensure accurate deliveries
  • Identify and inspect structured cabling, fiber optic cable, pathway systems, racks, cabinets, connectivity hardware, and related communications materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and company procedures
  • Organize, label, stage, and store materials to support efficient project operations and field distribution
  • Coordinate with project management, procurement, and field personnel regarding material deliveries and inventory needs
  • Report shipping discrepancies, damaged materials, and inventory issues promptly
  • Safely operate material handling equipment while following all company safety policies and warehouse procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five years of receiving experience handling electrical and/or low-voltage inventory in an industrial, construction, or warehouse environment
  • Thorough working knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optic materials, pathway/raceway components, racks, cabinets, connectivity hardware, and related communications infrastructure equipment
  • Experience with inventory management systems, packing lists, bills of lading, receiving documentation, and inventory control processes
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to accurately identify, inspect, and handle specialized communications infrastructure materials
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment; forklift experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Work at elevated heights and comply with fall protection and safety requirements

  • Interpret technical drawings and visualize three-dimensional concepts when needed
  • Maintain sufficient vision, hearing, coordination, and awareness to safely perform job duties
  • Ability to work extended shifts, including up to 12 hours, in outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions
  • Maintain physical stamina and strength to perform demanding job duties throughout the workday
