Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, and IT teams to define and align solution requirements with manufacturing strategy.

  • Design secure, scalable, and efficient architectures integrating shop floor systems (Data Collection, MES, SCADA, Production, Quality) with enterprise applications (ERP, PLM, Connected Control Plan, Reliability Insights).

  • Lead architecture design for smart factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including IoT solutions, data collection, analytics, and digital twin implementations.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and select appropriate tools, vendors, and technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory mandates.

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from design to implementation.

  • Develop architectural documentation including system blueprints, data flows, integration patterns, and paving standards.

  • Support process analysis, gap assessments, and configuration activities with cross-functional teams.

  • Monitor trends in digital manufacturing technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 10+ years of IT/enterprise architecture and systems integration experience.

  • 5+ years of experience within manufacturing or industrial automation environments.

  • Deep knowledge of MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, DCS, networking, and production/quality systems.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), edge computing, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

  • Strong understanding of integration patterns (APIs, middleware, OPC-UA, MQTT) across SQL, time-series, and big data environments.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems for manufacturing integration.

  • Knowledge of OT/IT cybersecurity principles.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS or Azure Solution Architecture certifications.

  • TOGAF, ArchiMate, or enterprise architecture framework certifications.

  • PMP or Agile project management certifications.

  • Certifications in MES or ERP platforms (SAP, Rockwell, Siemens).

  • Experience deploying real-time process data collection integrations with ML/AI models and mobile notification systems.
