Product Manager, Ecommerce Platforms

Location: Midvale, UT, 84047

About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager, Ecommerce Platforms to lead and manage our ecommerce technology stack, with a primary focus on the Shopify Plus platform. This role requires a hands-on, execution-focused professional who can drive the digital roadmap, manage integrations, and optimize platform performance across multiple brands and properties. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in ecommerce product management, technical integration, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the Shopify Plus platform, including checkout customization, Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow, theme code, and app ecosystem.
  • Develop and execute the ecommerce digital roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, ticket grooming, and release management.
  • Write clear and comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Quality Assurance (QA), and post-launch monitoring to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Manage ecommerce integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, analytics, search, reviews, loyalty, subscription, and personalization platforms.
  • Understand and oversee API, webhook, data synchronization, and integration flows.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), including SOWs, change orders, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Engineering, IT, Analytics, CRM, Merchandising, and Customer Care teams to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Own technical documentation, intake, triage, request management, issue escalation, and resolution processes.
  • Drive platform performance improvements and storefront optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate data tagging, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and data layer implementations.
  • Lead conversational AI or chatbot implementation projects.
  • Support international commerce platform initiatives, with emphasis on Global-E, B2B ecommerce, and warranty/services commerce.
  • Manage multiple active workstreams across brands, properties, vendors, and internal teams simultaneously.
Required Skills amp; Experience
  • Proven experience managing the Shopify Plus platform and ecommerce product management.
  • Strong expertise in digital roadmap execution, backlog management, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Excellent skills in writing PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with ecommerce integrations including ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, analytics, search, reviews, loyalty, subscription, and personalization platforms.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, data sync, and integration flows.
  • Vendor, agency, and ISV management experience including SOW, change order, deliverable, budget, and timeline oversight.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Technical documentation ownership and request management expertise.
  • Experience with platform performance optimization and storefront customization.
  • Knowledge of checkout customization, Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow, theme code, and app ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with data tagging, GTM, and data layer coordination.
  • Conversational AI or chatbot implementation experience.
  • Experience with international commerce platforms, especially Global-E, B2B ecommerce, and warranty/services commerce.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Linear, Asana, Notion, Figma, GitHub, and Shopify Admin.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into business language and vice versa.
  • Exceptional organizational discipline and ability to operate in a fast-moving, shifting-priority environment.
  • Ability to push back appropriately and make tradeoff recommendations.
  • Strong ownership mentality and execution-focused, hands-on operating style.
  • Ability to manage multiple active workstreams across brands, properties, vendors, and internal teams.
