Job description

Join Duke Lake Norman in our Gastroenterology Division!

Duke Health is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists to join our growing service line in Mooresville, NC.  This is an excellent opportunity to live on the lake while being next door to Charlotte!  In addition to clinic and endoscopy block times, hired physicians will provide inpatient GI consultations.  Hired Duke physicians also have access to Abridge AI Scribe to reduce time spent charting.    

With a commitment to excellence in clinical care, Duke Gastroenterology is dedicated to delivering quality clinical services to our patients at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital.  Both experienced and recently trained practitioners dedicated to providing compassionate patient care are encouraged to apply.  

Requirements:

  • BE or BC Gastroenterology
  • MD/DO degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program
  • Experience and managing high-quality patient care
  • Interest and/or experience in both inpatient and outpatient work 

Description:

  • Blend of outpatient, endoscopy and IP consults/procedures
  • Rapid patient base ramp-up
  • Strong support from hospital leadership and administration
  • Systemwide EPIC EMR integrated across clinic and hospital settings

Duke Health Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC, offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. Facilities include a 123-bed hospital with 24-hour emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, maternal-fetal medicine, and women’s services, and a weight loss surgery center among its services. The campus has an outpatient imaging center and an outpatient surgery center.
