Dominion Energy is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy that powers our customers every day. If you want to work for a purpose-driven company that values safety and collaboration, we're looking for you. You won't just find a job here; you'll find your career. Review the position below and apply today.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is launching a bold, highimpact organization within Equipment Reliability, Equipment Reliability and Strategic Initiatives (ERSI), designed to accelerate fleetwide performance and elevate longterm operational excellence. This role is part of the founding team, offering a rare chance to help build a new enterprisewide function from the ground up, influence initiatives across the entire Dominion fleet, and take on some of our most critical strategic reliability challenges. If you thrive on innovation, collaboration at scale, and the excitement of creating something new that truly moves the needle, ERSI is where you can make a lasting difference.

This Engineering Technical Consultant will support Dominion Energy's nuclear fleet by driving improvements in maintenance strategy, preventative maintenance (PM) optimization, and long term asset management. In this role, you will evaluate the effectiveness of existing PM tasks, determine whether current PM strategies are technically appropriate, and develop optimized maintenance approaches that improve equipment reliability in alignment with industry best practices and fleet initiatives.

You will collaborate with station maintenance, engineering, and long-term asset management teams to identify opportunities for PM enhancement, support component maintenance and replacement planning, and ensure consistent fleetwide implementation of approved improvements. The position also provides technical input on maintenance-related fleet issues, helps translate lessons learned and best practices between stations, and performs periodic reviews of industry trends to ensure Dominion Energy is using the most current maintenance strategies.

This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to review equipment performance data and failure modes, and a collaborative mindset to influence site implementation and support continuous improvement across the fleet.
