Job description

The Club at Crazy Mountain Ranch is a private membership experience set on 18,000 extraordinary acres in the state of Montana. Take one part working ranch, combine with golf, lodging, great food, and drink plus everything else there is to see and do and you’ve got something beyond special.


Position Summary

At Crazy Mountain Ranch, The Golf Course Maintenance Operator reports to the Director of Golf Course and Grounds/ Assistant Superintendents while performing various golf course maintenance tasks. The Equipment Operator will be directly involved in a variety of maintenance assignments associated with the care of golf course greens, tees, fairways, and other golf course features and areas. Maintenance operations will be performed utilizing a vast assortment of specialized equipment, machinery, utility vehicles, and hand tools.

Summer Season April 15th, 2025 - Nov 1st, 2025

Job Duties

  • Operate various types of mowing equipment on the golf course in the maintenance of turfgrass areas.
  • Equipment operation includes self-propelled walk mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, lightweight mowing equipment, and other specialty machinery utilized in golf course maintenance work.
  • The Equipment Operator contributes to the maintenance operation by performing other labor tasks with various hand tools and specialized golf course power equipment.
  • The Equipment Operator will also be involved with several types of construction-related projects throughout the golf course.
  • Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily while also ensuring the proper cleaning and care procedures.
  • Reports equipment problems to the Equipment Manager. 
  • Participates in cleaning maintenance areas and operates within the safety training procedures.
