Title:  Senior Databricks Data Engineer
Location:  Austin, Texas
Work Type:  Hybrid
Job Type:  Contract 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • IT experience delivering enterprise data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
  • Experience with Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (DLT), Lakeflow Jobs (Databricks Workflows), or comparable orchestration tools.
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and data quality frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate or Professional).
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Git-based development workflows.
  • Experience supporting public sector or state government environments.
