  • Building and maintaining ingestion frameworks that onboard and standardize new data sources across the business
  • Collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize data initiatives
  • Managing team capacity, sprint planning, and delivery commitments
  • Coaching and mentoring data engineers in their technical and professional growth
  • Supporting hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Establishing and maintaining QA frameworks to ensure data quality and reliability standards are met
  • Driving adoption of new tools and technologies within your team
  • Managing performance and career development for direct reports
  • Demonstrating Arc'teryx leadership code (Lead Self, Lead Others) in daily work
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
  • Building and scaling high-performing data engineering teams to support organizational growth
  • Implementing structured career development frameworks for data engineering professionals
  • Leading the technical strategy for data platform modernization initiatives
  • Developing automated testing and CI/CD frameworks for data pipeline reliability
  • Establishing cross-functional collaboration models between data and business teams
  • Standardizing data engineering practices across multiple development teams
Are you our next Manager, Data Engineering?
  • You have 8+ years of data engineering experience with 4+ years of team leadership
  • You have hands-on experience managing data platform infrastructure, such as Databricks, ingestion frameworks, and QA frameworks
  • You have a combined strong technical background with emerging leadership capabilities
  • You have experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers
  • You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • You are passionate about building strong engineering teams
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • Your passion for technical leadership is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
