A career as an AI Scientist on the AI Value Creation team at National Bank means acting as a subject matter expert in artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic systems. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the client experience, employee experience, and organizational performance by leveraging your expertise to develop innovative data-driven and AI-powered solutions. Your job Design, train, and optimize machine learning models that address strategic business needs. Develop generative AI and agentic AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and multi-agent systems. Collaborate with business partners to identify value creation opportunities and translate business needs into practical solutions. Develop and maintain the technical components required to train, evaluate, deploy, and continuously improve AI solutions. Conduct rigorous assessments to ensure the performance, robustness, and reliability of models in production environments. Support and guide teams and partners in adopting AI best practices, governance frameworks, and risk management principles. Prerequisites Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of experience developing, training, validating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, or agentic systems. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for developing analytics and AI solutions. Experience with cloud environments and development tools such as AWS, Snowflake, Git, GitHub Copilot, and Jenkins. Demonstrated ability to work on multidisciplinary initiatives that combine technical expertise with business needs.
