Job description

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the senior team in delivering innovative solutions that deliver client objectives whilst meeting our business objectives and financial targets.
Job Description:
We're looking for a Manager, Data Science to support business intelligence & data science initiatives by delivering high-quality analysis, models, and insights that inform campaign performance and business decisions.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on analytics, statistical modeling, and collaboration. While this role does not include people management or ownership of production ML systems at the time of hire, it is designed as a growth role with a clear pathway into either technical leadership or people management as the organization scales. You will report to the VP Measurement.
What You'll Do
Analytics & Measurement
• Analyze media and marketing data to evaluate campaign performance and optimization opportunities
• Build and maintain analytical and statistical models within established frameworks
• Support attribution and measurement efforts (e.g., assisting with multi-touch attribution, incrementality analyses, or testing frameworks)
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests in partnership with media and strategy teams
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
Technical & Analytical Execution
• Use Python/SQL/R to analyze large datasets and build reproducible analytical workflows
• Work with data from media platforms, internal systems, and cloud-based data environments
• Contribute to existing analytics pipelines and dashboards supported by engineering or platform teams
• Ensure analyses are well-documented, accurate, and reproducible
• Partner with data engineering or machine learning teams to transition analytical work when appropriate
• Partner with reporting teams and other areas of the business to assist with visualization or analytics requests as needed
Collaboration & Communication
• Partner cross-functionally with media, strategy, and technology teams to understand analytical needs
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing across the analytics community
Career Growth & Development
This role is intentionally positioned as a development role with multiple growth paths. Over time, and based on performance and business needs, this position may evolve into:
People Leadership Track
• Mentoring and guiding junior data scientists or analysts
• Taking on team-lead or people management responsibilities
• Contributing to hiring, onboarding, and team development
Technical Leadership Track
• Owning increasingly complex models and analytical systems
• Contributing to the design or ownership of production ML pipelines
• Partnering closely with ML engineering and platform teams on model deployment and monitoring
Progression into either track would involve a formal level and scope review aligned with our company guidelines.
What This Role Is Not (Today)
To set clear expectations, this role does not initially include:
• Direct people management
• Ownership of ML infrastructure or MLOps platforms
• Accountability for enterprise-level analytics strategy
• Primary client advisory or executive thought-leadership responsibilities
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative role
• Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and either Python or R
• Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and analytical modeling
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to partners with varying technical backgrounds
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Preferred (Not Required)
• Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field preferred
• Experience with advertising or media analytics
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Interest in developing toward technical leadership or people management
