Job description

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Cybertec team. The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the strategic data and analytics initiatives of the Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager. This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards, processing bulk data requests, and contributing to special projects that drive data-driven decision making across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytically minded, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skillset across a range of platforms and technologies. This position offers unique exposure to executive-level leadership, working closely with data that directly influences organizational strategy and high-level business decisions.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to support key monthly and ad hoc reporting needs
• Handle bulk data requests from internal stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner
• Support Salesforce administrative functions including custom report and dashboard creation, basic interface configuration, page layout work, and other administrative tasks
• Query and extract data from relational databases using SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) to support reporting and analytical needs
• Assist in the execution of special projects including the development of new interfaces, reporting tools, and data visualization solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into clear, actionable deliverables
• Maintain a high standard of data accuracy and integrity across all work products
• Support the BI & Analytics Manager in advancing the department's broader strategic initiatives that support all revenue streams of Mazak Corp.
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
• Relevant certifications in Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, or SQL are a plus but not required
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data handling and a strong ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies; collaborative mindset with the ability to support cross-functional teams and projects
• Tableau* Building and maintaining key monthly reporting and interactive data visualizations
• Power BI* Report and dashboard development and data modeling
• Salesforce* Basic interface/configuration work, administrative skills, custom report, dashboard, and page experience
• Microsoft Excel* Advanced functions, data manipulation, and analysis
• SQL (Structured Query Language) Querying and extracting data from relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server & data lakes alike
• Microsoft Office Suite General proficiency across Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
