Data Services Supervisor

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000
Travel: Approximately 0–5%; travel is unlikely
Work Environment: Primarily on-site, with work performed at the Wichita office and customer locations

Position Overview

The Data Services Supervisor provides operational leadership for a growing Data Services, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence team. This customer-facing leadership position coordinates projects, supports client relationships, supervises team workloads, and contributes to business growth initiatives.

The Data Services Supervisor serves as a primary liaison between clients and technical teams, translating business requirements into practical data solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires an organized, proactive leader who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, independently manage multiple priorities, and mentor team members in a collaborative professional services environment.

This position is well suited for an experienced professional with a background in client services, account management, project coordination, professional services, data analytics, business intelligence, or technology consulting who is ready to combine customer relationship management with team and project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and supervision for the Data Services team.
  • Coordinate multiple data analytics, business intelligence, and technical consulting projects while monitoring schedules, workloads, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary client relationship management contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Translate client business needs and requirements into clear objectives for technical and non-technical project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical professionals, customers, and leadership to support successful project delivery.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, resource coordination, and ongoing project communication.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of proposals, scopes of work (SOWs), project documentation, and service agreements.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively communicate risks, priorities, status updates, and client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, expanded services, and continued client engagement.
  • Support business development and relationship-development initiatives, including professional networking and customer engagement activities.
  • Mentor, supervise, and support team members while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and continued development of the Data Services function.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and daily time entries through established online systems.
  • Represent the Data Services team professionally when communicating with customers, partners, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in client services, account management, project coordination, professional services, consulting, or a closely related field.
  • Experience coordinating projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading project teams.
  • Strong customer relationship management and client-service capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client business needs and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting customer relationships and maintaining strong client satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
  • General knowledge of business reporting, analytics, dashboards, or data-driven decision-making concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in supporting business growth, client engagement, and relationship development.
  • Experience using CRM systems, customer relationship management tools, project coordination tools, or task management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, technology, engineering, data services, or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Understanding of business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, data visualization, or dashboard concepts.
  • Experience assisting with proposals, scopes of work, and service agreements.
  • Familiarity with Power BI dashboards or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
  • Professional relationships or familiarity with the Wichita-area business community are a plus.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is primarily an on-site position based in Wichita, Kansas, with work also performed at customer locations when required. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, with a one-hour unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.

Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required depending on project or customer needs.

The work environment is collaborative, team-oriented, and focused on innovation, continuous learning, customer service, and professional development. The typical dress code is business casual, with appropriate PPE required when visiting customer sites.

Travel

Travel is expected to be minimal, generally 0–5%.

When authorized business travel is required, company vehicles are preferred for regional travel when available. Rental vehicles, mileage reimbursement, lodging, airfare, meals, and other eligible business expenses are handled in accordance with established travel and expense policies.

All tools, equipment, technology, and electronics required to perform the essential functions of the position are provided. No personal tools are required.
