We Are:

Accenture's Cybersecurity practice, a global leader in delivering end-to-end cybersecurity services across strategy, risk management, digital identity, cyber defense, and managed security. With security professionals in 70 countries and specialized facilities like Cyber Fusion Centers and Cyber Labs, we focus on embedding security into digital transformation programs, and delivering targeted cybersecurity solutions to protect digital assets, manage cybersecurity risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. We address the evolving challenges of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. Our cybersecurity practice is supported by a global network of cybersecurity professionals, advanced tools, and partnerships with leading technology providers. We help organizations build resilience, protect their operations, and enable growth in a secure digital environment.

You Are:

Passionate about leveraging cybersecurity innovation to drive strategic transformation across the Utilities industry, including electric, gas, and water utilities. You develop and deliver cybersecurity services that protect critical infrastructure, enable grid and operational modernization, manage enterprise and operational risk, and support compliance with utility-specific regulatory requirements. This role demands deep expertise across IT and OT environments and the ability to guide utility clients through complex business, technology, reliability, and resilience challenges. You assess current and future cybersecurity capabilities, advise on leading practices, and shape cybersecurity strategies aligned with each utility's business priorities, regulatory obligations, and operational realities.

The Work:

As a Cybersecurity Manager, you will manage complex information security engagements and workstreams. You will provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise, coordinate project delivery, and serve as a key point of contact for client security, business, and IT stakeholders, Accenture domain experts, and third-party teams. You will lead; manage plans, risks, budgets, and deliverables; and help shape practical solutions that achieve committed client outcomes.

As a team member, you'll be part of a Utilities industry team focused on applying cybersecurity expertise across the utility value chain-from generation, transmission, and distribution to field operations, customer services, gas delivery, and water operations. You'll work closely with our Utilities industry leaders to innovate and shape secure, resilient solutions for grid modernization and energy transition.

  • Client Engagement: Build trusted working relationships with electric, gas, and water utility stakeholders, translating their cybersecurity, reliability, regulatory, and operational resilience priorities into actionable workplans and deliverables.

  • Initiative Delivery: Manage cybersecurity workstreams and project teams delivering solutions across cyber defense, AI-enabled security, risk management, and compliance, aligned with client objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

  • Utilities Insight & Strategy Development: Apply deep knowledge of utility operations, regulatory obligations, threat trends, and technology modernization to shape practical client strategies.

  • Innovative Strategy Formulation: Collaborate with utility clients to create and implement forward-looking strategies that secure grid modernization, advanced metering infrastructure, distributed energy resources, cloud adoption, field operations, and IT/OT convergence while protecting safety, reliability, and affordability.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and coach project team members, assign work, review deliverables, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing delivery environment.

  • Communication & Reporting: Develop clear recommendations, status reports, and executive-ready materials; present findings and delivery progress to client and Accenture stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage cybersecurity assessments, strategy workstreams, and implementation activities across utility enterprise and operational environments, including IT, OT/ICS, cloud, substations, control centers, field systems, advanced metering infrastructure, and customer platforms, while supporting applicable requirements such as NERC CIP, TSA Security Directives, CIRCIA, NIST, and state utility regulations.

  • Support senior leaders in advising utility stakeholders on integrating cybersecurity risk management into operational resilience, capital programs, grid modernization, emergency preparedness, and energy transition initiatives.

  • Manage utility cybersecurity transformation workstreams focused on secure IT/OT convergence, network segmentation, internal network security monitoring, threat detection modernization, cyber resilience, and identity and access management for critical infrastructure.

  • Facilitate utility-specific threat modeling, incident response, and recovery-readiness activities for risks such as ransomware, nation-state activity, supply chain compromise, insecure remote access, and attacks affecting grid, pipeline, water, or customer operations.

  • Work with architects, ecosystem partners, and technology vendors to develop scalable cybersecurity solutions that enable secure grid modernization, automation, cloud adoption, distributed energy resources, and customer digital services without compromising utility reliability or safety.

  • Contribute Utilities cybersecurity expertise to client engagements, proposals, and internal forums.

  • Support Accenture Security and Utilities teams in developing differentiated offerings, reusable assets, and go-to-market materials for utility clients.

  • Establishing trusted relationships with our clients
