What We Look For In a Cyber Security Tutor

  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with cybersecurity curricula and certification pathways including CompTIA Security+ and CISSP, and common challenges such as understanding cryptographic concepts, configuring security tools, and staying current with evolving threats. Adapts instruction using virtual lab environments, capture-the-flag exercises, and real-world case studies to support students from introductory security concepts through advanced certification preparation.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
