Job description

Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a second-shift full-time Warehouse Associate. Curtze Food Service provides an array of restaurants and kitchens with quality food and other products. The Warehouse Associate selects and palletizes the product for the orders that go out for delivery to our customers. This critical position guarantees that our customers receive accurate and timely deliveries.
*** This position requires bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Warehouse Selector will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures from cold 20-40° F, damp/wet, to freezing temperatures. ***
Wage: $20.10
Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 P.M. to 12:00 A.M.
Responsibilities:
  • Independently and efficiently pick products using an electric or hand pallet jack
  • Verify that all product picked matches the order
  • Build secure pallets that are in sequence with the delivery schedule
  • Label pallets correctly according to the delivery schedule
  • Perform daily inspection checks of machinery and charge batteries on machines nightly
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position, including lifting up to 80 pounds, standing and walking throughout the entire shift, bending, twisting, and climbing
  • Ability to work on surfaces such as concrete, wood, or metal that are sometimes wet or slippery
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen
  • Ability to understand the slot-sequencing layout of the warehouse and labeling system
