The Market Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for driving sales growth, distributor execution, and market development for our portfolio of brands: Resurgence Brewing, BlackBird Cider Works, and Brightside Vibes. This role is expected to meet or exceed sales objectives by expanding distribution, improving execution, developing distributor partnerships, and ensuring our brands are
represented at the highest level in every market. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have prior experience in the beverage industry, and excels working autonomously. This individual works primarily in the field (approx. 70%) and may have potential for future leadership opportunities.
Compensation: This is a full-time position and the compensation is a base salary plus bonus structure. Starting base pay: $75,000 - $90,000 based on education/experience/interview. Annual bonus potential with quarterly payouts.

What you'll be doing:
  • Sells and represents the entire portfolio of Resurgence Brewing, BlackBird Cider
    Works, and Brightside Vibes.
  • Manages all aspects of assigned territory including distributor relationships, chain
    execution, and key retail accounts.
  • Conducts regular distributor ride-withs, P&R meetings, sales meetings, and market
    visits.
  • Develops annual and quarterly business plans with distributor partners.
  • Identifies new distribution opportunities and executes against whitespace targets.
  • Maintains and improves KPIs including volume, distribution, displays, depletions, and
    placements.
  • Builds strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and key decision makers.
  • Conducts account calls and follows an organized territory routing schedule.
  • Executes new product launches, seasonal programs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Secures displays, features, menu placements, and points of interruption.
  • Provides training and coaching to distributor sales teams.
  • Resolves marketplace issues quickly while maintaining exceptional customer
    service.
  • Collaborates with Marketing on events, samplings, and local activations.
  • Prepares monthly business reviews, forecasts, and scorecards.
  • Maintains CRM records and sales reporting.
  • Represents the company professionally at all customer interactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, and work practices.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in business, management, operations or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in beverage alcohol, CPG, supplier, or wholesaler sales managing distributor relationships and territory planning
  • Demonstrated experience managing a territory, maintaining clients, obtaining new clients and meeting sales goals
  • Valid, current driver license
  • Reliable transportation with required insurance(s)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to constantly travel within assigned territory
  • Willingness to continually increase knowledge in the field
  • Ability to analyze sales and depletion data
  • Strong prioritization, planning, time management, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • CRM experience highly desired
  • Results-oriented, detailed, with high accountability
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative attitude and always presents professionally
