What is a manager couple?

A Manager Couple job involves two people, often a couple, who work together to manage a business or property. Common industries include hospitality, property management, and retail. Responsibilities typically include operations, staff supervision, customer service, and maintenance. Employers seek couples who can work as a team, often living on-site. This role is ideal for partners who enjoy shared responsibilities and working in dynamic environments.

What are the typical daily responsibilities for a manager couple in a hospitality or property management setting?

A Manager Couple typically shares a range of duties, such as guest services, housekeeping oversight, grounds and facility maintenance, reservations management, and basic administrative tasks. One partner may focus more on operations like maintenance and inventory, while the other oversees guest relations, reservations, and staff coordination. Both individuals are often expected to be hands-on and flexible, quickly shifting between roles as needed. This collaborative approach ensures that the property runs smoothly and all guests or residents receive prompt attention. Being able to effectively divide and manage responsibilities is key to success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the manager couple position, and why are they important?

To excel as a Manager Couple, you need experience in hospitality or property management, strong organizational abilities, and hands-on maintenance or administrative skills, often supported by prior supervisory roles or relevant certifications. Familiarity with property management software, booking/reservation systems, and maintenance tools is highly valued. Outstanding teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills make a Manager Couple stand out, as both individuals must coordinate seamlessly and resolve issues efficiently. These qualities are crucial for delivering smooth daily operations and exceptional guest or resident experiences in settings like inns, lodges, or residential properties.

We're Looking for Future Leaders - Not Just Employees
At Blue Moon Fitness, we believe that fitness should be welcoming and accessible to everyone But that only happens when we have the right people-honest, hardworking, and ambitious individuals who care about helping others, building something meaningful, and earning success the right way.
We don't just run a gym-we're on a mission to make fitness a comfortable experience; we focus on making first timers, women, and people returning to exercise feel respected - a space for those who might otherwise feel out of place. That means we don't just hire employees-we build leaders who believe in service, integrity, and continuous growth.
We're looking for a couple of honest, hardworking, and ambitious people who aren't just searching for a paycheck-they're looking for a place to grow, contribute, and create something bigger than themselves. If you believe in earning your way forward, not waiting for handouts, this could be your opportunity.
We exist to create an environment where effort is rewarded, where leadership is earned, and where people can build careers they're proud of
What We Offer:
Front Desk & Floor Attendants - $15.00/hr, the starting point to grow.
Personal Trainers & Small Group Coaches - Industry-leading pay for those who inspire.
Assistant Team Leaders - $20/hr once qualified, leading the way.
Team Leaders (Club Managers) - $48,000+ with performance incentives.
Personal Training Directors - Leading and developing the coaching side of the business.
Regional Leadership - For those ready to take ownership of multiple clubs.
The Path to Ownership
We don't just create jobs-we create opportunities for leadership and ownership. The Founder's Fund provides a pathway for high performers to earn their way into ownership, not just management. But ownership isn't just a title-it's a responsibility. Whether it's through individual leadership or a group of dedicated employees coming together to buy in and build something lasting, we want the right people to take this company forward
If you're looking for a place where effort, honesty, and leadership are rewarded-not a place where titles are handed out-you're in the right place
Final Step Before We Talk: Can You Follow Directions?
We don't hire just anyone If you're serious about working hard, growing, and potentially earning your way into leadership or even ownership, here's your first test:
Step 1: Take the DISC assessment here → https://www.tonyrobbins.com/disc/
Step 2: Email your results to office@bluemoonfitness.com
Step 3: If you're the right fit, we'll reach out to set up a conversation.
If you can't follow these steps, this isn't the place for you But if you can-and you're ready to earn success-send us your results, and let's talk.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just real opportunity for those willing to take it
Blue Moon Fitness
Blue Moon Fitness is the club intended to be comfortable enough, friendly enough, helpful enough, and cheap enough that even people who only exercise once in a Blue Moon can fit in.
  • Lifting 300 Pounds In the eighties and nineties, we served people who hoped to lift three hundred pounds someday, and everyone else who wanted to come along and that made perfect sense.
  • Avoiding Weighing 300 Pounds But the world changed. Literally. Americans became overweight and obese. With obesity at epidemic levels in America, I thought I could serve more people by helping people who wanted to avoid weighing 300 lbs. I learned that weighing 300 lbs was a psychological event. It was one thing to watch weight creep up through the 200s, but the first time somebody stepped on a scale and the first digit was a 3-300 pounds! Oh my gosh, there were a lot of wake-ups at that time.
  • Focusing on Strength AgainToday, we're shifting to serving people who hope to maintain the strength it takes to stand up on their own, and everyone else who wants to come along.Turns out science backs up what we've always believed.

Our customer service mantra is "treat each member and guest the way we would want our own mother treated if she was in a gym 500 miles away, dealing with strangers. We would want her treated with love, respect and kindness."
