We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support a highperformance manufacturing site producing Corian solid surface products, introduced in 1968 and Tedlar polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) films, introduced in 1961. This role is critical to improving equipment availability, maintenance efficiency, and cost control through highquality maintenance planning and work preparation.

The Maintenance Planner partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Reliability to ensure maintenance work is clearly defined, properly planned, fully resourced, and ready for safe and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Work Planning & Scoping

  • Review maintenance work requests to ensure scope, priority, and authorization are clear and achievable
  • Conduct field walkdowns to validate job scope, safety requirements, access constraints, and execution readiness
  • Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability to clarify equipment issues and desired outcomes

Job Plans & Work Packages

  • Develop detailed job plans including task steps, sequence, labor skills, duration estimates, tools, safety requirements, and execution notes
  • Create complete work packages with drawings, procedures, vendor documentation, permits, and special instructions as needed
  • Ensure job plans support safe, efficient, and repeatable maintenance execution

Materials, Services & Readiness

  • Identify required parts, materials, consumables, tools, and outside services
  • Input into procurement so materials and services are available before work is scheduled

Scheduling Interface & Backlog Management

  • Maintain a backlog of wellplanned maintenance work ready for scheduling
  • Collaborate with maintenance leadership and operations to align planned work with production requirements and resource availability
  • Support weekly scheduling, shutdown, and outage planning activities

Closeout, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Review completed work for accuracy of labor, material usage, and job scope
  • Facilitate return of unused materials and capture execution feedback
  • Update job plans, task lists, and documentation based on lessons learned

Asset Data & Preventive Maintenance Support

  • Maintain accuracy of equipment records, bills of material, and maintenance task information
  • Support development and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance plans
  • Identify documentation gaps and initiate updates to drawings, procedures, and asset data

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or process environment supporting maintenance activities
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices; exposure to controls or instrumentation planning is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and estimate maintenance work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments
  • Proficiency with computerbased maintenance management systems, SAP Plant Maintenance preferred, and standard office software
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to incorporate safety requirements into job planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Technician, or Reliability Technician
  • Experience planning work in a continuous or batch manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
  • Experience coordinating and supporting shutdowns or major maintenance events
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance optimization and reliability improvement practices

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Maintenance work is clearly scoped, well planned, and fully resourced before execution
  • Technicians spend more time executing work and less time searching for information or materials
  • Improved schedule compliance and reduced emergency or breakin work
  • Continuous improvement in job plan quality, documentation accuracy, and maintenance efficiency

Work Environment

  • Combination of officebased planning and field presence in an active industrial manufacturing environment
  • Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and accessing production areas
  • Willing and able to support afterhours or weekend support during outages or critical events
  • Physically able to do the job (walk in area and heights)
