Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic Senior Manager, Content Operations & Localization to build and scale iHerb's content operations function. You will oversee the systems, workflows, and governance that power content production, publishing, and localization across a rapidly expanding footprint of 36+ languages. The ideal candidate brings strong content and campaign operations expertise, with the ability to apply that discipline to localization, ensuring content is produced efficiently, published consistently, and adapted accurately across markets while meeting applicable regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Content Operations & Process Optimization

  • Design and implement scalable content operations workflows, governance models, and processes spanning content production, publishing, and localization

  • Improve CMS-driven content workflows, ensuring efficient intake, production, review, and publishing across markets

  • Improve operational efficiency, throughput, quality, and execution consistency across content and localization functions

  • Establish and manage operational KPIs, SLAs, reporting, and performance dashboards

  • Identify operational bottlenecks across the content lifecycle and implement scalable solutions

  • Drive standardization and best practices across content operations teams

  • Apply proven content and campaign operations methods - planning cadences, intake models, resourcing, execution frameworks - to improve throughput and consistency across all localized content

Localization Strategy & Operations

  • Manage translation operations as a specialized function within the broader content operations model, ensuring high translation quality and consistent execution

  • Stay current with emerging translation technologies (e.g., AI/MT, LLM-powered workflows) and evaluate their application to improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency

  • Design and implement localization frameworks and guidelines that plug into the broader content operations system

  • Drive automation across content production and localization to increase scalability and reduce manual effort

Budget & Financial Management

  • Manage the content operations and localization budget, including forecasting, planning, and ongoing cost optimization

  • Track and report on spend across languages, vendors, and content types, ensuring alignment with business priorities

  • Identify cost-efficiency opportunities through workflow and technology improvements and vendor strategy

  • Establish ROI frameworks for content and localization investments and drive accountability against financial targets

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

  • Ensure all site content complies with global, regional, and country-specific regulations and standards across markets

  • Partner with Compliance teams to stay current on regulatory changes impacting digital and e-commerce content, and build necessary updates into standard content operations workflows

Vendor Management

  • Manage and scale relationships with external content and localization vendors, including LSPs and contractors

  • Establish vendor performance metrics (quality, turnaround time, cost efficiency) and conduct regular business reviews

  • Drive vendor optimization strategies, including consolidation, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Content Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own the operational health of localized experiences across the full customer journey, from content creation through CMS publishing

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Regional teams to embed content operations and localization requirements early in the development lifecycle

  • Identify and resolve operational or localization gaps impacting user experience or conversion

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required
  • Proven experience leading multiple operational teams in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.

  • Deep understanding of content lifecycle management, including planning, production, QA, publishing, and performance tracking.

  • Strong understanding of translation quality frameworks, tools, CMS platforms, and vendor ecosystems.

  • Data-driven mindset with ability to define success metrics, analyze performance, and optimize outcomes.

  • Proven ability to build scalable processes, playbooks, and operational frameworks that can be applied across different functions.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around shared goals and timelines.

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires 10+ years of experience in localization, translation, or content operations with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is $150,000 - $165,000 USD. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, education, geographic location, and internal equity.
