Job description

Construction Superintendent responsible for managing and overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Oversee on-site construction activities, including managing subcontractors, foremen, and other field personnel.
2. Help develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage project budgets.
3. Ensure that work meets quality standards, building codes and conforms to plans and specifications.
4. Enforce safety regulations and procedures on the job site.
5. Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process.
6. Communicate effectively with superintendent, project manager, clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
7. Maintain accurate daily logs, redlines and other project documentation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Technical training, college degree or 5 years of carpentry experience in similar leadership position.
Technical expertise: Ability to lead and motivate a team of subcontractors and crews; manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently; extensive experience in construction managements with ability to interpret building codes, plans, specifications; strong understanding of construction concepts, practices, procedures; math skills; analytical skills; ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively; computer skills; familiarity with construction software (e.g., PROCORE).
Personal Traits: Personal maturity, verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, flexibility, initiative, planning and organization.
