Job description

Warehouse Supervisor

Supervise warehouse employees and coordinate the loading of all vehicles scheduled for the next day's delivery. Daily tasks may require some physical labor depending on workload and manpower schedules.

Normal Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM until shift complete

Job Duties to include:

  • Supervises and documents the receiving and loading of all delivery vehicles to ensure quantity and quality.
  • Loads inventory and supplies using available hand trucks, power jacks and forklifts.
  • Supervises rotation of inventory to ensure quality and minimize out of date product destruction.
  • Monitors activities in the warehouse to ensure minimum productivity standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Maintains a clean warehouse and grounds while ensuring the regular disposal of all recyclables (cardboard and plastic).
  • Manage warehouse employees and facilitate employee development.
  • Securing the facility at end of the shift each day, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures
  • Ability to manage an inventory system
  • Maintain forklift certification and certify other employees
  • Skill in simple computations
  • Ability to comprehend procedures
  • Must acquire simple computer skills to include Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and other software
  • Good communication skills and ability to process change.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in inventory control procedures.
  • Experience in warehouse management.
