On a given day, you may:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse.

  • Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures regarding picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

  • Conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile any discrepancies.

  • Coach, mentor, and train all warehouse team members.

  • Conduct performance management evaluations, time keeping, and corrective action of warehouse team.

  • Responsible for being the primary point of contact for internal customers pertaining to warehouse operations.

  • Schedule and manage warehouse team members within budget while meeting the demands of the department.

  • Assist in creation and implementation of process improvement initiatives within the department.

  • Obtain powered industrial equipment certification.

  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Responsible for reporting safety hazards and implementing new standards as needed.

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

  • Oversee transportation of all out bound shipments.

  • Other duties as required as directed by the Warehouse Inventory Control Manager.

Requirements for the role:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse or distribution environment.

  • 5+ years warehouse/distribution experience.

  • Ability to professionally communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining polite and calm when dealing with customers and coworkers.

  • Ability to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • High level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency.

  • Desire to seek and implement process improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with various computer applications.

  • Dedication to safety throughout all job responsibilities.
