Job description

Westerfield Club, located in Tuscaloosa, AL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Landscape Laborer! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
The Westerfield Club is seeking a motivated Landscape Laborer to join our Agronomy team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to be part of a team committed to maintaining an exceptional property for our members.
Previous landscaping experience is helpful but not required. We hire for attitude, work ethic, and character. We can teach the skills to someone who is eager to learn.
Responsibilities
  • Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and seasonal landscape material
  • Mulching, edging, pruning, and general landscape maintenance
  • Weed control and bed maintenance
  • Assisting with irrigation repairs and installation
  • Operating hand tools and power equipment safely
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting materials
  • Assisting with property improvement projects
  • Maintaining a clean and professional appearance throughout the club grounds

Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Dependable with excellent attendance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license preferred

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Weekend work is a regular part of the schedule and required as part of maintaining championship-level golf course conditions.
